Tracy Darrell Adkins, better known as ‘Trace’ born in Springhill, Louisiana January 13, 1962, debuted in country music in 1996. Adkins learned to play guitar at an early age, and took an interest in singing, joining a gospel choir. Adkins did not formally begin his music career until the mid 90s when he toured Honky Tonk bars in Nashville, Tennessee. A Capitol Records executive heard and signed Adkins to the label.
Adkins recorded his debut album named Dreamin’ Out Loud in 1996, and has released over five additional studio albums, along with a Greatest Hits compilations. Trace Adkins had over twenty singles that have shown on the Billboard country music charts, including numerous hits number one such as ‘(This Ain’t) No Thinkin’ Thing’, ‘You’re Gonna Miss This’, ‘Ladies Love Country Boys’, and ‘Hillbilly Bone’ (duet with Blake Shelton). All but one of his albums have achieved gold or platinum status, with his 2005 release Songs About Me going multi-platinum. Trace Adkins tickets continue to fly out of the box office.
